Child Safety Standards Policy
At GoDate, the safety and security of our users and the broader community are our highest priorities. We are strictly an 18+ platform. We have a zero-tolerance policy regarding Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) and Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).
We are committed to maintaining a platform free from harm and comply with all applicable global child safety laws.
1. Standards Against Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE)
We strictly prohibit any content or behavior that exploits, endangers, or harms minors. Our standards are clear:
- No Minors Allowed: You must be at least 18 years of age to use GoDate. Any account found to be operated by or featuring a minor will be immediately suspended.
- Prohibition of Grooming: We prohibit any behavior that attempts to build a relationship with a minor or facilitates the sexual abuse or exploitation of a minor, regardless of where that abuse takes place.
- No Sexualization of Minors: We prohibit any content that depicts, promotes, or normalizes the sexualization of children.
2. Combating Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)
We take aggressive action to prevent the upload, storage, or sharing of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) on our platform.
- Immediate Removal & Ban: If CSAM is identified, we will immediately remove the content and permanently ban the user responsible.
- Reporting to Authorities: As required by law, we report all instances of apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or relevant local law enforcement agencies globally.
- Technology & Monitoring: We utilize a combination of automated detection technologies and human moderation to proactively identify and remove illegal content.
3. Reporting and User Feedback Mechanism
Community vigilance is a vital part of our safety ecosystem. We provide in-app and on-site mechanisms for users to report concerns instantly.
- How to Report: If you see a profile, message, or image that you believe violates our Child Safety Standards, please use the "Report User" button located on every profile and within the chat interface. Select the option for "Underage User" or "Prohibited Content."
- Action Taken: All reports regarding child safety are prioritized and reviewed by our Trust & Safety team immediately.
4. Legal Compliance
We comply with all applicable domestic and international laws regarding child safety and online protection. We cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations involving the safety of minors. We continuously review our policies to align with the Tech Coalition’s best practices for Combating Online CSEA to ensure we are meeting the highest industry standards.
